Mission

The Salon Art Club develops a program that aims to promote a dialogue between different generations of artists, mainly in canadian contemporary art. The gallery's guiding principle is to discover and showcase the talents of established, mid-career and emerging artists, always with the same vision in mind: to challenge conventional wisdom by going off the beaten path and proposing art in a different way.

Goals

The gallery wants to pursue a work of democratization of contemporary art by cultivating curiosity about it in an accessible way and stimulate the gesture of acquisition as much with seasoned collectors as with neophytes or young generations. 

Le Salon Art Club is a meeting place for artists using mediums such as painting, drawing, photography, printmaking and sculpture. The gallery seeks to bring new blood by exploring the world of contemporary creation in order to discover new treasures that fit into the artistic line of the gallery.

The team

Katia Dubois is a gallerist, curator, and interior designer. Founder of Salon Art Club, inaugurated in 2021 on Laurier Ouest Avenue in Montreal, she has developed a curatorial practice attentive to the dialogue between art, space, and living environments. Through Salon Art Club, she has directed some twenty solo and group exhibitions and taken part in Canada’s two most sought-after art fairs. The gallery now continues its activities as a virtual platform, remaining committed to a contemporary and rigorous curatorial approach.

Stéphane Michaud, also a founder of the project, supports Salon Art Club with expertise in finance, business management, and marketing, contributing to the structure and visibility of the initiative. His strategic perspective underpins the gallery’s development, maintaining a constant balance with its artistic vision.
